One thing you may ignore is that Halloween native country is Ireland! So, Dublin cannot miss the opportunity to organise a huge demonstration during this period. One of the most important events is the Bram Stoker Festival and it organises dozens of activities during the Halloween week: from Friday 26th October until Monday 29th October.
During these four days you can go, between others, to live the classic movie Nosferatu during the “NYsferatu: Symphony of a Century”, have a look at the Marsh’s Library for the “The Haunted Library” or go to the “Dracula’s Disco” for an outdoor stage animated by DJ Will Softly at the Meeting House Square in Temple Bar.
However, the main event of these four days is maybe the Macnas Parade on Monday 29th October in Dublin Street. This parade takes place each year and for Halloween 2018 the theme is “Out of the Wild Sky”. During this demonstration you will see giant characters, magic and haunting attractions! Everyone is welcome to enjoy this tradition of the Dublin city Halloween period. The creator of this parade is the worldwide famous Macnas spectacle company!
The parade will depart from Moore Street and travel through Dublin 1 to end at Mary’s Lane next to the Fruit Market. The departure is at 7pm on Monday 29th but families are welcome earlier to find the right spot to have the best view on the parade.
