Tokyo is Japan's largest city, it has an astounding population of more than 9 million. It clashes the ultra-modern and futuristic cityscape with the traditional historic temples from its storied past. One of the traditional places to visit is the Meji Shrine, which is a large gate into a sprawling garden and shrine. There are a ton of museums throughout the city like the classical art Tokyo National Museum or the Edo-Tokyo Museum, which reconstructed the kabuki theatre. The Senso-ji Buddhist Temple is surrounded by small narrow streets that are lined with unique shops and cafes. The Tokyo Skytower is somewhere to visit if you would like to get a panoramic view of the massive and bustling city.

Bogota is high up in the mountains of Colombia and is the capital of the country. At the center of the city is La Candelaria, which is filled with cobblestone streets and colonial-era landmarks. These include the Teatro Colon performance hall, the Iglesia de San Francisco, and museums like Museo Botero and Museo Del Oro, they respectively display Botero’s art and pre-Colombian gold pieces. The Simon Bolivar Park offers peaceful walks through a park with lakes and peaceful views. At the top of the Cerro de Monserrate lies beautiful views of the city and the Santuario de Monserrate, a large church that is famous for its 17th-century shrine.

Krakow is a city in southern Poland near the border of the Czech Republic. It is famous for maintaining its medieval history and keeping its architecture and traditions so well-preserved. The Old Town is surrounded by Plenty Park and the remnants of the city’s medieval walls. The center of the city is Rynek Glowny (Market Square), the large plaza contains the Cloth Hall, which is a trading outpost from the Renaissance era, and St. Mary’s Basilica, which is a 14th-century church. Popular day trips include taking a visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau, a Nazi concentration camp memorial, and museum, and the Wielczka Salt Mine, which is a labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, and chapels open to the public.
Dakar is the capital of the West African country of Senegal, it is on the Cap-Vert Peninsula and is a huge Atlantic Port. The Musee Theodore Monod displays cultural artifacts including clothing, drums, carvings, and tools. The House of Slaves displays artifacts and shows the history of the horrific Atlantic Slave Trade. There are also beautiful beaches by Dakar, and surfing is possible in spots such as Yoff Beach and N’gor Island. Diving is also beautiful around N’gor Island, which is situated right off the northern coast of Dakar. Not only are there beaches but nearby is also Lake Retba, which is famous for the water being colored pink due to the high salt content of the body of water. In the city, the Place de I’Independance is the central hub and is filled with grand colonial buildings and is vibrant with people, shops, and cafes.
