Benefitting from its position, nestled between Sicily and North Africa, Malta gets its fair share of sizzling temperatures with slightly cooler conditions by a light breeze in the evenings. Malta’s diving is suitable for beginners, advanced and technical divers. Its caves, reefs and wrecks are reached from either the shore or by boat.
Paradise Bay, located in the North part of the Island. It is surrounded by high cliffs and it has a great view on the nearest islands of Gozo and Comino.
The Blue Lagoon, is a stunningly beautiful inlet on the small island of Comino. You can access this inlet by boat from both Gozo and Malta.
St. Peter’s Pool, is a pool-shaped bay on the East coast of Malta. There’s no beach as such, although there’s enough room to spread out your beach towel on the flat rocky surface around the bay and it could be a beautiful alternative as it is not really frequented by the tourists.
One site above all others is special to Malta - the Hypogeum, a labyrinth of underground chambers probably used as both a burial site and a temple. The Islands' temples qualify as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as megalithic monuments, Bronze Age dolmens, Punic tombs, remains of Roman Villas and traces of prehistoric man are open to the public. For three millennia, from around 5200 B.C., the archipelago was home to a unique, temple-building civilisation. Malta and Gozo's temples are thought to be the oldest free-standing buildings known to man. A good place to start your tour is at the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta or the Hypogeum itself.
Over the last few years the Maltese Islands have become a hub for the clubbing scene, attracting a number of popular and high-profile music festivals for music lovers who love raving in the sun.

Maltese cuisine is the result of a long relationship between the Islanders and the many civilisations who occupied the Maltese Islands over the centuries. Traditional Maltese food is rustic and based on the seasons. Look out for Lampuki Pie, a fish pie, Rabbit Stew, Bragioli beef olives, Kapunata, the Maltese version of ratatouille, and widow’s soup. Snacks that must be tried are ‘hobz biz-zejt’ (round of bread dipped in olive oil, rubbed with ripe tomatoes and filled with a mix of tuna, onion, garlic, tomatoes and capers) and pastizzi, a flaky pastry parcel filled with ricotta or peas. Favourite dessert delicacies are kannoli, tube of crispy, fried pastry filled with ricotta, Sicilian-style, semi-freddo desserts (mix of sponge, ice-cream, candied fruits and cream) and Helwa tat-Tork, a sweet, sugary mixture of crushed and whole almonds.
